Laramie Park Extension

1800 Laramie Avenue is a brownfield site located next to the Town of Cicero’s public works facility. A new Animal Welfare Facility (AWF) is integral to the park master plan and expands the recreational offerings with a new dog park, sand volleyball, and a creative play area. The Town selected the PRI lead team of architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and water management professionals to design a creative “destination type” facility for the Town’s residents. The PRI team designed a skate park which offers both novice and expert skateboarding opportunities as well as a creative play experience for toddlers and pre-teens. The park offers a dog park with small and large dog runs and a dog training zone, sand volleyball courts, exercise stations, a “Live Roof” pavilion, and court game area. The new park connects to the Clyde Park District soccer/ softball complex.
