Rakow Road is an extension of Randall Road through McHenry County and links Randall Road with Illinois Route 31. Due to growth in the area since construction in the early 90's, Rakow Road has become a heavily used corridor. PRI performed Phase I environmental studies as part of a high priority McHenry County Division of Transportation project to improve Rakow Road by adding lanes, reconstructing the roadway for safer alignment, and improving all signalized intersections. Our team evaluated existing information on water resources, socio-economics, and Section 4(f)/6(f) resources. Ecologists and planners from PRI conducted reconnaissance field investigations, performed noise evaluations, and prepared associated exhibits for the IDOT Environmental Survey Request in addition to other important services.
