Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) has a 60 year history of providing rural health care in Central Illinois. The hospital complex is now embarking on the next generation of health care and commitment to services. Planning Resources (PRI) worked with HMC and architects to master plan and develop a comprehensive and sustainable approach for the facilities expansion and renovation of its campus.
The construction documents include a state of the art medical acute care facility and rehabilitation center. PRI has led the design development of the site planning which focused on environmentally sensitive stormwater management, transportation planning and community connections. The project design combines the sustainable landscape with the healing benefits of a therapy garden as well as amenities for the hospital to use in the care of its patients. PRI is assisting the design team achieve LEED silver certification for the facility. The projected bid date is spring of 2011.
